This project is a two-bedroom renovation in a residential house located in Quezon City.
The design approach follows a Japandi style—a thoughtful blend of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian warmth. Each space was designed with a sense of calm, order, and quiet luxury, offering a serene retreat for the homeowners. Natural wood textures, soft neutral tones, and clean-lined built-ins define the atmosphere of both bedrooms.
Bedroom A (12.426m²) is designed with functionality and comfort in mind. The focal point is the custom-built bed that seamlessly integrates with a reading nook beside the side table. This thoughtful addition creates a quiet space for winding down with a book or enjoying a moment of stillness. A compact walk-in closet is cleverly incorporated to maximize storage without compromising visual openness, ensuring the space remains airy and uncluttered.
Bedroom B (9.1m²), though smaller in size, is equally refined in its design. The highlight of the room is the built-in headboard paired with a continuous work desk, creating a multifunctional setup perfect for modern living. The subtle interplay of light wood tones, soft grays, and ambient lighting brings a soothing balance to the room, making it ideal for both productivity and rest.
Across both bedrooms, bespoke carpentry plays a central role. The built-in furniture pieces not only save space but also reinforce the cohesive aesthetic language of Japandi design. Every element—from the choice of wood grain to the muted wall palette—was carefully curated to create a harmonious connection between form and function.
