This 78-square-meter, one-bedroom condo unit in Azure North, Pampanga embraces a refreshing coastal-inspired theme, designed to evoke the calm and breezy atmosphere of a resort. The overall look is inspired by Scandinavian design, highlighting a clean white and wood combination that makes the space feel both bright and inviting. Every detail was planned with simplicity and function in mind—creating a home that feels serene yet practical for everyday living.
One of the biggest challenges in this project was the large asymmetrical post situated in the middle of the floor plan. Since it couldn’t be removed, we chose to turn this obstacle into a design opportunity. Instead of trying to hide it, we transformed it into the main accent feature by cladding it with wood panels and integrating open shelving. This made the column both decorative and functional—seamlessly blending into the design while offering extra storage and display space.
Given that the client preferred to maximize the existing finishes, we kept renovations minimal, particularly in the toilet and bath area. However, we introduced a subtle backsplash in the kitchen to add texture and personality.
To maintain an open and airy feel, we selected a glass dining table instead of a solid one, which helps the compact layout appear more spacious. The living area features a practical sofa bed—perfect for accommodating guests—paired with a custom TV cabinet that ties the room together without overcrowding it.
In the bedroom, we worked around the existing bedframe chosen by the client, focusing on creating a cozy, uncluttered atmosphere. The neutral palette, warm wood accents, and soft lighting all contribute to the restful resort feel that defines the home.
Overall, this Scandinavian coastal sanctuary offers a timeless and functional aesthetic—Airbnb-ready or move-in-ready anytime—proving that even within limited space and restrictions, thoughtful design can make every corner shine.
