This 11-square-meter bedroom makeover proves that even the smallest spaces can be transformed into functional, stylish sanctuaries with the right vision. Originally, the bedroom in Malabon was a cluttered, underutilized space that barely met the needs of the two sisters living in it. With most of the floor area occupied by a single large mattress and little to no storage, the room lacked organization and comfort.

Our design goal was clear—to integrate smart storage, provide enough sleeping space for up to four people, and make the area feel visually lighter. One of the client’s main requests was to accommodate guests for sleepovers, so we used two single beds with pull-out trundles, cleverly positioned in opposite directions to save space and create a sense of privacy. This thoughtful layout balanced functionality with comfort, ensuring the sisters could rest and host guests without feeling cramped.

To make the most of the room’s unique attic configuration, we incorporated built-in storage in every available nook, including the negative spaces below and above the beams. The added wall cabinets were deep enough to hold larger items, while a recessed niche with an overhead LED striplight doubled as a minimalist side table. The result is a bright, multi-functional bedroom that highlights how smart design and thoughtful planning can make even the tiniest spaces feel open and inviting.
